Blog-slacker and goals for July

Yup, that's me. Blog-slacker. I have barely even thought about blogging since the last time I did it. No offense blogland, but right now my time and energy is focused elsewhere.

I just wanted to give you a little daily Amy (YDA) so you know I haven't died or locked this blog in a closet never to be seen again. Today was my last day living in the server world. There's a lot to be said about saying goodbye to something that has run you into the ground, made you hate your life and your feet, forced you to miss holidays and special events with your family and friends, taught you more about yourself than any amount of schooling ever could, gave you a crazy and dysfunctional family you hate to leave, and still managed to allow you to pay the bills and put food in your belly. There's a lot to be said... but not much I'm ready to put into words. July is going to be tough for me. I left a little prematurely, financially speaking, but I need a day off and a time-out and a change of pace.

In July, I will:
**Visit my blog and my fave blogs a little more often.
**Not spend money on anything unnecessary. Yup you heard right, it's no spend July. I have a friend coming to fix my bike tire so I'll even spend less on gas this month.
**Finish my home projects and maybe start some new ones.
**Maybe have some new and exciting things to introduce to you.
**Join an eGroup for church.
** Run, run, run. Blogging is not the only area I've been slacking in.
**Spend some time with my friends. I miss them.

  1. No-spend July = totally my goal too! Live simply and within your means :) It's better to be happy with the little moments you get with family and friends than to find happiness in material things!
Also, I love the idea of an eGroup for church. I would love to find one to physically go to but that's difficult to do in a country that's primarily a religious I am not...and working on Sunday mornings back home makes it difficult to keep up with going during the school year! Awesome goals!
